How Kapasa Makasa University Grading Works
KMU uses an additive points system with full and half course multipliers - the same grade point values as the Copperbelt University. Add up your points from 3rd & 4th year, then read your class off the table for the number of courses you took.

The pass mark is 50%. A C is a pass but earns zero points, so it drags your classification down without failing you. S is a full-course award worth 1.00.

Where These Numbers Come From
- KMU was proclaimed a university in June 2016 under the Copperbelt University's administrative oversight, and runs as one of CBU's campuses. Its grade point values match CBU's exactly.
- The classification thresholds are CBU's - KMU does not publish its own set.
- The grade table above comes from a slide, not a published handbook. The point values are the part that drives your result and they agree with CBU; treat the percent bands as indicative and confirm them with your school.
3rd & 4th year courses only. Course codes ending in 0 are treated as full courses when scanning a transcript - you can change any credit by hand.
